In 2010, Karuna Mangharam and Hena Aggarwal embarked on the journey of creating By The Sea.
Born from a desire to establish an environment where learning happens through play, fostering social, emotional and cognitive development, their dream was to infuse constant positivity into their lives. What better way to achieve this than by being surrounded by the boundless energy and curiosity of children?
Karuna with her Teacher Training in Learning Disabilities and a Bachelor of Education degree in Early Childhood Care and Education from New Zealand Tertiary College, brings a wealth of educational expertise to By The Sea. Her unwavering dedication to working with children has played a pivotal role in By The Sea's success and growth, establishing it as a beacon of educational innovation and excellence under her thoughtful guidance.
On the other hand Hena, who completed her Diploma in Teacher Training in Early Childhood Care and Education coupled with hands-on experience at the school, significantly enriched the learning process.
Hena's strengths lie in the realms of designing, planning and organization across various platforms, making her a pivotal force at By The Sea. As a co-founder, Hena plays a vital role in shaping the vision and mission of By The Sea. Her dedication to providing a holistic learning experience, coupled with her passion for design and organization, has contributed to the establishment of an innovative educational institution.
Together, Karuna and Hena form the heart and soul of By The Sea, where their collective vision and dedication create an environment that not only educates but also nurtures the growth and curiosity of young minds.
